Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 small red-skinned apple, cored
- For serving: maple syrup or honey
Steps
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, brown sugar and salt. In a seaprate bowl, whisk together the milk, vanilla, eggs, and butter. Add to the dry ingredients. Stir in the apple.
- Preheat a pan over medium heat. Pour the batter in the pan. Cook until the bubbles on top start to pop and both sides are golden brown.
