Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 tablespoon white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg whites
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Steps
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
- Pour buttermilk and melted butter into the flour mixture. Stir so the ingredients have just combined.
- Break eggs in a bowl and add egg whites. Beat the eggs until they just begin foaming.
- Fold the eggs into the batter.
- Preheat a waffle iron and coat with cooking spray.
- Pour batter into the waffle iron, cooking until golden brown. About 2 minutes per batch.
