Teriyaki Meatball

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 pound ground pork
    • 1/2 cup Panko
    • 2 large egg yolks
    • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
    • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
    • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
    • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
    • Sesame seeds, for garnish
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 2 tablespoons honey

    Steps

    1. Preheat your oven to 400º F, and spray your oven tray with cooking oil.
    2. Whisk together 1/4 cup water and 1 TBSP cornstarch
    3. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, white pepper, and honey in a bowl. Whisk together, and add to a saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring to a simmer, and pour in the cornstarch mixture.
    4. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, and egg yolks. Using your hands, roll the mixture into small meatballs.
    5. Place the raw meatballs on your oven tray. Cook for 20-25 minutes.
    6. Toss the meatballs in the teriyaki sauce.
